About Joshua Home Educators of TN
News And Information:
Boy Scouts and Cub Scouts
We are a group of Christian parents deeply concerned for
our children’s education. This concern has driven our
group toward a more traditional view of homeschooling,
one where the children for the most part are taught at
home by their parents. We do not offer other semi-
traditional (read just like public school) type classes for
our members, but rather a support structure of
common interests and guidance. We value opportunities
for fellowship by individual families as each family
chooses to attend common events. We also come
alongside our members to help in mentoring them
through a whole host of issues faced by what is now a
modern day unique challenge of bringing up our own
children in a dead and dying world.

News And Information about Joining JHET
We are currently taking applications for joining JHET
Requirements for joining are as follows:
• Faithful Church Attendees
• Agree with and sign a statement of faith
• Agree with and sign our charter tenets
• There is no fee to do so
• Membership is not exclusive of other organization
We reserve the right, as a private association, to deny membership to any family. We take our Christian walk as a serious matter and we view this association as a training ground NOT a proving ground. As it should always be only a parent can determine when a child is ready to foray into a world that hated Him first without their protection. Our goal is to be a group where we can encourage one another in the growth of our children to mature adults ready to stand strong in their service to Christ Jesus.

Home Schooling has its challenges and frustrations, the most
often heard concern by those who want you to "re-think" your
horrible decision come in the form that they find valuable "Social
coping skills". Won't your children lack the ability to play with other
children? they chant. I have heard several snappy comebacks. My
favorite is "so tell me again how 25 nine year olds all together in
the same room is civilized?" what is yours?
